When you're living in a city like Las Vegas, one of the industries that is going to be the easiest to enter into a career is in hospitality. There are hundreds of hotels and restaurants for all the tourists that arrive annually from health clubs Scarborough for a big conference or for a bachelor's party and there are dozens of different jobs that you could choose to help them enjoy their Las Vegas experience. If you're someone who's great with people and likes a good challenge every once in a while then you might enjoy a career as a concierge.

The main job of a concierge is to never say no to a customer. This might not seem like much but there is an unlimited number of things that they might ask of you, both simple and extravagant. Some might just need a car like their Mississauga limousine back home to take them to the airport or need you to book tickets for them to the latest Cirque du Soleil show. And then there are those that have very unique needs. If you want to become a concierge in one of the city's major hotels and think that you have what it takes to get everything the people who live in penthouses in Los Angeles and Yorkville condos expect then you will usually have to start at the bottom and work your way up. There are some courses and degrees now being offered in hotel management and event planning that might start you off on the right track. Customer service skills are key to the job and you need to be able to display that you know the industry of working in Las Vegas or Niagara Falls hotels and that you are capable of finding anything that the customer might need in a reasonable amount of time.

There are many different concierge jobs throughout the city and the country and you should look around before you choose the one that suits you best. If you like meeting new people all the time then you might want to work as a hotel concierge. Others who want to be more familiar with the people they are helping might work in an exclusive condo or apartment complex. And if you want to help one person ship their Claude Monet paintings or find a sitter for their dog then you should try out being a personal concierge.
